THE "HIDEAWAY" - Accommodation

* Oil central heating, electric by £1 coin meter

* Bed linen and towels included

* Microwave combination oven and grill

* Freestanding 2 ring electric hob

* WiFi

* Off road parking.


The "Hideaway" is on a working smallholding, where we keep our pigs, sheep, goats, chickens, ducks and horses, as well as Pip and Tig, our dogs.

* Two small dogs by prior arrangement

* NB: There are 2 steps up to the bedroom


Laundry - We provide a laundry service to include washing and drying at £5 per load or £10 per load if ironing is required too. Just ask.


Outside - Enclosed furnished patio area to front.

Located nearby

The nearest shops are approximately 5 miles away, pub 1 mile, with restaurant and takeaways 9 miles to the south at St Clears and Whitland.

There is also a Leisure Centre 8.5 miles away with visitor day memberships available to use the facilities, including swimming pool, gym, sauna and jacuzzi, with a coffee shop which provides a range of light meals, as well as breakfasts etc.


Tariffs: - 2019

January 5th - June 14th - Low season £225 per week

June 15th - September 13th - High Season £295 per week

September 14th - December 13th - Low £225 per week


Bookings are from 3pm Saturday to 10am Saturday


Short Breaks also available (minimum 3 nights)

Low Season - £35 per night High Season - £45 per night


A non-returnable deposit of £50 per week is required on booking, with the balance payable in full 30 days before the start of your holiday

Access Statement

The Accommodation is on a split level with 2 steps leading to the en-suite bedroom. The space available does not allow for easy movement of a wheelchair.


The car parking space is on sloping ground and access to the accommodation has a small step down to the front door and a further small step down into the kitchen area.


The kitchen area has stone floor and the living area wooden floors with rug covering and there are has numerous lights and power points.


The bedroom is carpeted and has lights and a double socket power points with a door to the en-suite toilet.


The wash basin and shower have a small step up from the bedroom.


The Gardens are on terraced levels with some uneven pathways, with the Summer House at the lower level.


Mobile phone reception varies according to supplier. Vodafone, EE, BT Mobile, Virgin Mobile known to work, but O2 poor signal. 

4G mobile reception available from these providers, so a 'Dongle' will work for internet access if required. Nearest phone shops in Carmarthen.


WiFi access. Guest WiFi access available

NB We are at the 'end of the line' from the local exchange for telephone/broadband access and as such we can sometimes experience poor speeds


The nearest doctors’ surgery and chemist are in St Clears 9 miles away.


House rules for dogs:

Sorry, no puppies or dogs likely to worry sheep

Dogs must NEVER be left unattended in the cottage

Dogs must NEVER be allowed in bedroom or on furniture

You will have to clean up after your dog at all times all around our grounds

We would request dogs to be on lead when walking along lane adjacent to property
